Eighteen Anchorage School District juniors and seniors spent their Spring Break at Alaska Works Partnership’s Spring Construction Institute.  Channel 11 KTVA and the Alaska Journal of Commerce reported on the event.

Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) is dedicated to helping National Guard, Reserve, retired and transitioning active-duty military members connect to quality career and training opportunities in one of America’s most challenging and rewarding industries – the construction industry.

Jumping Ranks to Success

Before leaving the military, Jaylee Trujillo was painting F-15s as an airman at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage. With the help of Helmets to Hardhats, she is now a journeyman painter and foreman, supervising crews of 15-20. [Success story PDF]
