Ted Stevens accomplished many great things in his lifetime for Alaska and the United States of America. Senator Stevens had a passion for advancing education and vocational training in our state. He wanted to provide the greatest amount of opportunity he could for all Alaskans. Senator Stevens was very instrumental in creating Alaska Works Partnership. He and our founders shared a common understanding that Alaska’s construction trades unions played a significant part in developing our State, and particularly for training Alaskans to build our state. Ted Stevens was a remarkable man. AWP will continue to remember him and carry on the work he believed in. Thank you, Ted Stevens, Alaska’s Senator.
