Women Encouraged to Apply!
Basic construction skills training is offered through the Alaska Construction Acadmies. Academy classes may be a first step in a path toward a successful career in construction. Most academy classes are offered during the nights and weekends to accommodate the busy lives of today’s women and men.
A Women in the Trades program is offered in conjunction with Academy classes, with the goal to guide women to the career of their choice. Physical conditioning, career counseling, interview skills and support services may be available to eligible participants.
